There has never been a better time for you to add to your dash! Your life, you see, is made up of two dates and a dash. The dash is sandwiched between the day you were born and the day you will die. It represents your life and all that you have accomplished. In other words, the dash is your movie. All the decisions, the hope and love you shared, the deeds and words, the influences you had on people and much more. If you’re reading this, your dash segment is open for extension and addition. Whether you are 21, 51 or 81, you aren’t finished yet, there is still more to come. As Paul encouraged Timothy, so it is for you as well: “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” If the second date hasn’t been written on your life, press on, keep on keepin’ on, finish strong and write the next chapter as though it is your last. Indeed, you can create history in these unprecedented days. Because, in crises and challenging times, it is true that your impact can even be more significant. Today, and for the rest of the week, become intentional to add to your dash. Put yourself to the side and focus on others to bless, celebrate, and encourage the people in your sphere.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24.

I love the poem, “The Dash.” I first heard it from my friend, Marcus Randall at a school chapel. Powerful!
